Project: ACU Wellness Center – Stone Panels
This project required cast stone color and finish to match with color of the bricks work that is all around the building.
Cladding Design using Architectural Cast Stone Panels
Open breezeways as well as entry ways and doors, windows have cast stone all around them for the cladding design that architect for the project was looking for.
Color of the dry-cast manufactured stone was custom matched to go with the bricks used throughout the exterior of the building.

Architectural Precast Concrete
The stone pieces with large span were manufactured using wet-precast architectural stone. The manufacturing technique can embed structural support steel in the stone making it very well suited for larger size pieces that can be installed without external support.
The color of the cast stone and wet-precast concrete matched seamlessly for uniform cladding design critical to design of the building.

Consistency, Quality with Manufactured Stone Cladding, Architectural Design
AAS team used brick samples and architect’s renderings to design precise admixture that would color as well as structural properties of the stone panels.
With computerized batch plant and internal color lab, the consistency of the product properties was maintained throughout the project life cycle.
AAS scheduled manufacturing, sequencing and delivery of the project working closely with the contractors. Details in the planning, clear labeling and communication, and ability to answer questions and coordinate helped with smooth completion of the construction project.
